Best vivo phone under 15000, vivo z1 pro review

Vivo Z1Pro is another contender by Vivo in the budget segment heavily dominated by Xiaomi and RealMe. Vivo Z1 pro is an excellent offering if you like vivo phones. It is our top recommendation as the best vivo phone under 15000.

The unique features of vivo Z1 pro include the Snapdragon 712 processor, 5000 mAh battery, and an 18W fast charger.

Let’s see how it stacks up against the competition.

Design and build quality

Vivo Z1 pro is wholly made of plastic and feels a bit thick due to the big 5000 mAh battery; having said that, it still feels nice to hold and well built but you can’t use this phone single handedly thanks to its size. We did not notice any significant scratches even after using it for 40 days.

There is an in-display punch-hole for the front 32MP camera, which is hardly noticeable while watching movies. It’s a better approach than the teardrop notch.

You get a 2+1 sim tray on the left that can hold 2 sims and a microSD card which means, you can upgrade the storage later even if you buy a 64GB variant.

Rest of the build is pretty standard with volume and power buttons on the right and a triple camera layout on the back.

Display

Vivo has done a commendable job in the display department. The 6.53 inches (16.59 cm) Full HD+ display is well saturated and color accurate with deep contrasts. You will not notice any pixelation unless your eyes are too close to the display. It’s a pleasure consuming media on this phone.

It has a punch-hole in the display which disappears once you start watching the videos. It doesn’t literally disappear of course, but you forget about it after a while. I loved this idea.

Camera

Camera’s have always been a part of Vivo’s selling pitch because that is a huge requirement in today’s era of social media.

The primary 16 MP f/1.78 camera is excellent if you mainly view your photos on a mobile device because the details are not sufficient for a large display.

Don’t take me wrong, it is a great camera if you only need Instagram or Facebook ready images. Apart from that colors are natural with good contrasts.

Video is where this camera excels. You get decently stabled videos with good details in both day and night.

Coming to the ultrawide 8MP camera, it shoots okay photos. The only advantage it offers is, you can get more people in frame but due to it being only an 8MP camera you loose details and the images come out soft.

One thing it does well is match the primary cameras colors and contrast. That way you don’t feel that you are shooting with a totally different camera.

Third camera which is a 2MP depth sensor does its job well and allows you to capture nice bokeh photos.

Battery

You can enjoy everything you do on your phone for a long time with vivo Z1 pro, thanks to its 5000 mAh battery. The discharge rate is relatively slow, and we got a full day of juice with both sims active and 4G data on all the time. We had 20% battery left at the end of the day.

Furthermore, to meet your battery needs, the supplied 18W quick charger does an outstanding job of refilling the battery in 2 hours and 15 minutes. All in all, you will love the battery output.

Performance

Performance is another aspect where vivo Z1 Pro shines. Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE Octa Core 2.3GHz processor coupled with 4GB RAM is enough to smoothly execute all tasks.

Apps load and close fast, and Z1 pro can play almost all games available on the play store at medium to high settings without breaking a sweat.

The only drawback with almost all vivo phones is the fun touch UI, and Z1 pro is no exception. You will find yourself looking for essential functions because they are buried under the fun touch skin. In short, fun touch OS is not fun.

Conclusion

Vivo Z1 pro does not give you a lot to complain about. The Snapdragon 712 AIE processor and a gigantic battery combined with good cameras give you a well-performing device.

Coming to the negatives, we found only UI to be a bit irritating, which is pretty much the case with all vivo phones. Summing it up, vivo Z1 pro is a great buy even in 2021.

Vivo U20 was the last major launch of the year 2019 by Vivo but its still a compelling device in 2021. It offers powerful specs at a reasonable price.

The specs include a beautiful 6.53 inches (16.59 cm) 395 PPI, IPS LCD and a mammoth 5000 mAh battery supported by 18W quick charger. It comes in 2 variants 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB.

Let’s discuss each of its aspects in detail.

Design and build quality

Vivo U20 looks just like its Vivo siblings. It has the teardrop notch on the front and triple cameras on the back. Despite looking similar to other Vivo phones, it still looks very good.

has a polycarbonate body which looks premium. You get the usual power and volume buttons on the right with the Micro USB charging port and speaker grills at the bottom.

Display

The vivo U20 has a 6.53-inch, 2340×1080 resolution IPS display. It has an amazing image quality which looks very saturated. Text appears sharp, and the colors pop because of the IPS panel. In short, you will love consuming all sorts of content on this display and it is our recommendation as the best vivo phone under 15000 for the display.

Camera

The vivo U20 has triple cameras on the back, including a 16MP f1.78 primary camera, 8MP f2.2 ultra-wide and 2MP f2.4 lens.

Primary camera does an excellent job of capturing enough details in images and videos. However, colors appear a bit dull. 8MP Ultrawide lens also supports the primary camera well.

The 2MP macro lens is provided to capture close objects is practically useless. It would be better if you capture the image using the primary camera and crop it.

Front 16MP camera is brilliant for capturing detailed selfies and recording vlogs. The colors are accurate, and images don’t pixelate much when zoomed in. The overall camera experience of Vivo U20 is excellent.

Battery

What’s the use of a smartphone if it dies when you need it the most? but fortunately you will not have to face such a situation with Vivo U20. 5000mAh battery and a fast 18W charger are the USP of this Vivo phone.

The battery will easily last 2 days for medium users and 1 day for the extensive users. Included rapid charger is capable of charging the battery in only 2 hours. The charging time of 2 hours may seem high, but you also have to keep in mind the battery capacity.

Performance

Vivo U20 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. Performance of this device is snappy and does not make you feel that you are using a budget device. Gaming is smooth no matter which game you are playing.

Apart from gaming the apps load fast, scrolling is smooth, and the Android 9 is well optimized. You will love the performance of Vivo U20.

Conclusion

Vivo U20 is easily one of the best vivo phone under 15000 and is worth every penny. The performance, battery and display everything screams quality.

We did not like the UI of the Vivo fun touch OS. It is not well organized; therefore, you end up searching for settings to perform various operations. All things considered, Vivo U20 is a fantastic smartphone at an affordable price point. By all means, I recommend it!

Best vivo phone under 15000 , Vivo Y19 4GB+128GB Review

MediaTek processors’ credibility has been questioned in the past because they were never as efficient as the Snapdragon counterparts. However, Vivo Y19 pleasantly surprises you with the performance it offers due to the MediaTek Helio P65 chip onboard.

It offers superb features including the 4GB RAM, big 5000mAh battery, 128GB storage and fast charging.

Design and build quality

Vivo Y19 does not flaunt anything special when it comes to design. It is 8.8mm thick due to the large battery inside. The waterdrop notch on the front holds the 16MP camera, plus you get the old-fashioned micro USB port, speaker grill, and a headphone jack at the bottom.

On the right, you get the power and volume buttons, and the left side contains the sim tray, which can accommodate 2 sim cards with plus a microSD card. Apart from that, triple cameras are arranged in a vertical stripe on the rear.

Display

Vivo Y19 comes with a 6.53 inches (16.59 cm) 395 PPI IPS LCD with a pixel density of 395ppi, which is best in class. Bezels are minimal, with a screen to body ratio of 90.3%.

The display is adequately bright, and the sunlight legibility is good. Colors are punchy, and the media experience is enjoyable. It performs well for an IPS panel.

Camera

The camera setup of Vivo Y19 is identical to Vivo U20. It has the 16MP primary camera supported by a 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lens.

The front 16MP camera does a great job in selfie department and captures enough details while not smoothening your face too much.

Rear primary camera produces colorful images with amazing details. Ultrawide 8MP camera captures more people in one go but since it is only 8MP, you should not expect it to work very well at night. Macro 2MP camera is useless just like Vivo U20.

Here are few camera samples for your reference

Battery

Vivo Y19 comes with a 5000mAh large battery coupled with a dual-engine fast charging 18W adapter. The battery will easily last you one and a half days on average usage, and even if you are a heavy user, you won’t need to charge it till the next day.

Furthermore, you can use this Vivo phone as a power bank due to its reverse charging capabilities. Not only do you get an excellent battery life, but you also get an 18W fast charger, which will charge it to 100% in less than 2 hours.

Performance

Talking about the performance, you get the octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor based on 12nm architecture and is twice as fast as its predecessor P60.

VivoY19 performs flawlessly. You will not witness any lags in daily usage, and it won’t let you down during heavy games either. To keep it short, you will not have any complaints in the performance department.

Conclusion

Apart from the minor cons like the fun touch OS, old design, and micro USB port, we could not find much flaws in Vivo Y19. It is an excellent competition with greatly improved cameras, awesome battery life and an amazing display.

Additionally, MediaTek has answered all the critics with a superb chip. Helio P65 handles all tasks just as you expect. Vivo Y19 ticks all the right boxes and it is easily the best Vivo phone under 15000.

  • Battery : 5000 mAh

Best vivo phones under 15000, Vivo Y20 review |4GB+64Gb variant

Vivo Y20 is another addition to the “Y” series of phones. Like other phones in this list, it comes with the 5000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 460 mid-range processor, 13MP primary rear and 8MP front camera.

I know the specs aren’t promising, but they are apt for the casual user. I would recommend this phone only to those on a tight budget and can’t afford to spend more than 13000 because 6GB+64GB variant costs around 15000 and is not worth the cash. 4GB variant, however, is value for money.

If you can stretch the budget to 15000, I would suggest you go for the Z1 pro or Y19 instead.

Design and build quality

Design of Y20 is good and matches the trend these days. From shiny back and iPhone style camera setup on rear to power button mounter fingerprint reader, it looks very premium.

It is made of plastic but feels sturdy. You get the power button and volume buttons on the right and the left side is pretty much left blank with just the triple card sim tray slot.

At the bottom you get the micro USB charging port with speakers and audio jack.

Display

Vivo Y20 does not justify its price tag in terms of display quality. You get a 720p HD+ teardrop notch display that works alright, but considering that other brands like RealMe and Xiaomi offer full HD display under 10000 rupees it shows Vivo’s overconfidence in its brand name.

The colors are right, and media consumption is enjoyable if you keep the phone at a distance, but as you move it close to the eyes, you might notice some pixelation. Besides that, it gets plenty bright for outdoor usage.

Camera

Although we did not test the camera performance thoroughly, we were satisfied with the performance whatever time we got.

The user reviews suggest that the rear camera lacks details and the front camera isn’t the best either. I would not comment on the camera output because we did not test it enough. It is not the best vivo phone under 15000 in terms of camera. So, if you are a camera fanatic, then you can skip this one.

Battery

You can leave all your battery worries behind when you carry this device with you because it features an awesomely massive 5000mAh battery coupled with HD display, enough to get you through the day even with heavy usage.

The battery is well supported by the 18W FlashCharge technology which can top it up to 100% in approximately 2.5 hours. The charging time may seem higher as per the fast charging standards, but that is perfectly fine for a 5000mAh battery. All in all, we are impressed with the battery performance.

Performance

Performance is always a subjective matter, and yours and my requirements may be different. This phone can play all the games in medium settings due to the Snapdragon 460 octa-core processor onboard.

Snapdragon 460 is an excellent mid-range processor. However, MediaTek P65 still beats it hands down. The choice is yours. If you want the latest design and side-mounted fingerprint reader, you will do well with the Y20, but if you like the design of Y19, that should be your pick.

Conclusion

Vivo Y20 is a bit hard to recommend, but it is the latest device, other devices like Y19 or Z1 pro could be out of stock soon. In that case, you can choose Y20 or look for other options in this price segment, or you could wait for vivo to launch a better phone.

It is hard for me to recommend this phone as the best vivo phone under 15000.
